It is very common and natural to feel that way when you are about 3/4 of the ways w/school. Its a point when you are in your prime (looking and agewise)young, energetic, have a great social life, and anything you could ask for. However there are those times wehen you are just tired of the fast paced life style and think about marriage and the life you want to have in the future but want it instantly. It looks so perfect but its VERY hard work. I would say finish school quick and painless because people that t ake breaks regret not returning to school. Once you complete school the reward will be greater and you will be glad you did things the right way.

New follower here...but LOVE your blog. I have a little personal experience with this subject...I dropped out in my third year at the university. I was only 23, and thought I was in love...etc. :) You know the story lol Anyhow, fast foward 7 years to this day, I have yet to go back and finish up, nor am I 'in love' with that same person. Not that I don't love the career I'm in now, but I know personally, this is STILL a big goal for myself, and I know how proud I would be to say I DID get my degree. Go for it chica!! Stick to it...believe me...it only gets harder to go back. Life happens, and you end up 'settling'.

I got my Certificates when I was 23 and I was D-O-N-E with school. No one could talk me into going back. I was just going to make it with whatever job I had but at that time I was temping a lot. Fast forward to when I was 26 and I met my now husband. Finding someone that made me want the house, the kids, and the money to do that and more is what made me go back to school. I went back because I wanted better things for myself and my future family with J. I've been in college now for almost 5 years and I am so ready to be done. My biggest regret is not getting my degree before settling down. We could have had the house and children years ago. We would get to spend much more time together and school/homework wouldn't take up all my time.

Oooh I know how you feel... I'm in my 4th year of university (out of 5) and I really feel that I have studied enough to get to working (though I'm only 21). Still I enjoy my time very much and don't want to change what I am doing at all, I just feel like I can learn more in a job right now. School is a long way, but I think its worth it. You'll see that when you finish and find a really good job that fits your wishes! Think of what you have right now and finish school. It is said that the future is much brighter afterwards haha.

Taking a break is good but a the same time it makes you lose focus. It's best to get it over with it if that's what you really want to. At the end of the day you are the one who needs to know what you really want and what will make you happy in life. Nothing in life is guaranteed.

I work in college admissions, and what I would recommend is for you to sit down, by yourself, and write down the pros and cons of either decision. Seeing it on paper can really clarify what's going on...I remember when I was at the place you're at right now in school, I hated my life - all I did was homework, class, work and maybe a little sleep. I was so burnt out! However, the thing to remember is, feelings and emotions are transitory. They come and go. That is why you must make decisions based on logic, and trust me, this was a very hard lesson for me to learn!! I read your blog regularly, and I see you making so many positive, proactive steps in your life! You're losing weight, writing this blog, inspiring people - you really are an INSPIRATION! If I was in your shoes, I would continue my schooling, but maybe only go part-time or take just one class. That way you are still in school, but it's not heavy duty...it doesn't have to be either/or. Even though it SUCKS right now, I truly think you have what it takes to continue on for even more achievements!!

As Rxqnaesthetics said, it's very common to feel this way. In France, at this point we get to do an internship, go into a company for a few months and it just increase the feeling that we are so ready to hit the working life and earn money.
But no. You realize that once you've left school, that the last year or last 2 years are important for both knowledge and maturity.
It's just a few month before you finish, and you have the REST of your life to work and get married
Best of luck form Paris
